Great review. You've pointed out what seems to be an inherent problem with the sick looking design with having to grab it by the plunger tube to prime. Maybe a few thin strips of grip tape (like 1/4 inch thick) along the tube would help without too negative an effect on the appearance. Love your colour combo; that green looks friggin tasty

I was able to get my zinc to about a 98% perfect seal on my Zinc. When I plug the blaster with a k25 it stops and the air eventually leaks out in about 30seconds. I did this by wrapping the plunger head and both parts of the rear slide with Teflon tape. I wrapped the parts then put the o-rings on top of them so I could get them to barely fit. Doing this allowed me to fire waffle head and accufake darts without jamming(with of course lower fps compared to dzps and workers). For me fixing the seal gave me a lot more consistent shots. Before I taped it my Zinc had the same seal problem.

you would have to hold the slide forward too to test the seal, as the air pressure within the system pushes the slide/pusher backwards, allowing the air to escape.

It actually had a seal when you fired it there. But the pressure build up was actually enough to push it out of battery. If you watch the video back you can see it cycle back as you pull the trigger then the magnets pull it back forwards.

I get why they went for the special mags, but that is the biggest problem I have with this blaster.

it seems you do same "mistake"(?) what I do usually. Put a spring in there so strong that at the end it's not practical in war. I know the feeling high fps numbers are very tempting 🙂

where do you find the model of the slide (for printing)

You should totally make another one in blue to go with your colors.
Then, you could give that one away to one of your followers that likes green and black. Oh crap that’s me but I have two kids and can’t afford to build it.

It looks and sounds like there’s friction slowing down the spring/plunger. You may need to drill some holes behind the plunger so it doesn’t create a vacuum as the plunger springs forward.
