I returned my Dyson ball today I had it a little more than a year. It was really bad on high pile carpet. Worst was area rugs. I'm now try'n to find something else. I'm starting to miss my old piece of junk I had before.

We have a Dyson V7 and the Triger finger guard broke off; the rough broken plastic makes it awkward to use. $120 to buy a new housing. This also doesn't pick up chunks on hard flooring. The battery life is short, especially if on high power.

Thanks for mentioning the size and weight with V11 segment. 30 minutes of constant trigger-pulling with 500g more than the V8 is not very comfortable.

Currently Dyson has REFURBISHED V11 Torque Drive the same price as NEW V8 Absolute. I'm trying to determine which is better for hardwood floors (90% of my house). Is V11's torque head EQUALLY as effective as V8's soft-roller head on hardwood? If so, does V11's head scratch hardwood surface over time?
