Bigger, Faster, Smarter - Episode 1 (Smart Spacetime) Processes in Action

Показать описание
Part 1 of series of zero budget documentary films, made using phones and laptops, telling the story of how modern technology in cloud computing and manufacturing came about - and how that technology is challenging the way we view space and time, just as quantum mechanics did. This is based loosely on my book "Smart Spacetime: How information challenges our ideas about space, time, and process". It took 1.5 years of persuading people to talk to me and recording them opportunistically.

This has similar content-density as "In search for certainty" and similar published books, yet the spoken pacing finally makes it justice... I guess this is a more fitting media for such organically complex content...

I like the "our purpose on the planet" pivot towards the end. Excited to see where it goes

Provides a very nice visual complement to his previous works that helps to put some of these critical yet often poorly understood concepts that impact IT into clearer focus.

I bet some of the interviews in this video are pretty interesting in of themselves.

Interesting. At 24, you say physics are a given, but maybe not for much longer. I recall reading Steve Jobs biography, where making the seam in metal frame any thinner would be physically impossible. It's becoming a more common problem . Size of resistors, length of cables, etc..

Looks like past the 10 min mark, things get better.. at least as they get more technical, I grok it. Definitely less rewinding between 10 and 22 min..

Well. it was information dense, but somehow lacked a thread. I'd love to see the full interviews used in this video.

This was extremely insightful, but whoever handled the sound production for the video needs to gain more experience.

Man, i am 10 minutes in, and the ideas tend to jump around, and the topic of the item is definitely lost on me so far. I've rewound two dozen times to understand the idea in flight..
This is hard to watch.

Maybe a word of advice, repeat the thing that's being talked about so these interviews are contextual.
