My Little Pony (MLP:FiM) | A True True Friend | Human Version (Animation)

Hey, sorry guys, but I'll probably never finish this. Though, I did say probably, there's still a chance I might come back and finish this animation some day.

Many people are curious about my design choices, and of course they have all right to be! So I'll explain:

Q: Why are they wearing old timey dresses?
A: The first few seasons of the show are heavily reminiscent of late 19th/early 20th century technology and overall historical vibes. Of course, there are modern elements, but I think it's cool to imagine a historically inspired MLP Human version.

Q: How did you choose their race/ethnicity?
A: When designing the main six, I was going by their fur. Since purple is the darkest secondary color, Twilight here has the darkest skin tone for example! Please don't be racist about the designs! I've seen far too many people being downright horrible because I gave a pony a darker skin tone in her human design.

I think it's genious that you made them look old timey. If you actually take notice of the series, you'll see that they've been made in an old time fashion. (Key point: they use quills) this is defiantly one of the best human versions I've seen. It could totally be used as an official.

I like how you match their skin colours with their colour palettes ( rainbow dash dark skin matches with the bright colours, fluttershy is pale to match with the pastel colours etc)

I love how the characters look like they are from the Victorian era with some steampunk-y elements added in with rainbowdash. It’s honestly something that I’ve never seen with human drawings and animations of the mlp characters. Keep up the great work!

Your answer about the ethnicities is funny because the show is made in Vancouver which is by far one of the more ethnically diverse places IN Canada, much less North America as a whole. So it definitely makes more sense when thinking about it that way.

I'm not even in the MLP fandom, but I somehow stumbled across this and noticed how smooth the animation is and how cute the art style was.
