Joanne Hsu, who directs the University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey, says consumers remain frustrated by the persistence of high prices, but they're benefiting from labor markets that remain relatively strong. Those two factors are offsetting each other, Hsu tells Bloomberg's Mike McKee, and the unexpected drop in the October sentiment index actually reflects little change in underlying conditions.
