Thank you for talking about these amazing new features. The whole english YouTube, Twitter etc is full of people talking about iOS and no one really talks about Samsung so it makes it seem like iOS has everything and Samsung is just a random boring alternative. With videos like this however, you really show that OneUI can be even more fun to use than iOS in many aspects, even in places that are supposed to be new in iOS. Many iPhone users hate Samsung without knowing what makes Samsung great, and why we keep buying Samsung. It has its problems like every brand, but the OS is fun and has absolutely everything. Great video!

Customizing call backgrounds is another cool addition. One UI 5.1 will be having even more changes and tweaks (new widgets) but One UI 6 is expected to be even more substantial.

Samsung's One UI has been my favorite OS since version 4 released. Samsung caught up to Apple in hardware design with the S6. Now, finally, their software is not only the best Android OS (skin), but also beats iOS imo. And especially for those with mid range Samsung phones, having access to a 120hz display with this quality of software is something no one from Apple can get, and really not anywhere else in Android. Samsung has really levelled the playing field, and I think it's great.

This new update is fantastic, especially the digital wellbeing features of having different modes. I currently use it to focus while studying, editing videos and exercise. My only complaint was that before on ui4, they actually count the time you spent on each mode, but before we could only have 3 options so I guess they removed the timer and I want it back. Which btw I use it to limit my use on apps like social media and monitor de time I'm actually using them. Bisby routines are quite amazing too. At least as a Samsung user they work like a charm

Wanted to mention another cool trick that involves Bixby. In the Bixby settings, you can toggle on "Talk to Bixby without wake up" which will allow you to tell your phone to answer and decline calls, dismiss or snooze alarms and dismiss or restart timers. I'm not sure if it's an android 13 trick tho

Just got it several hrs ago on my Galaxy S10 Lite. Really nice, have rearranged my lock screen layout and have customised some of my call layouts. This video actually made me aware of most of these features in question, so really appreciate the effort put into this. Thanks!

I just had my old phone upgrade to Android 12 about 6 weeks ago, and now my new one got the 13 update today. I'm already liking some of these...the backgrounds and multiple timers I've already dabbled in. The split screen I will have to investigate. I never used it before, but it might be worth a go now. Extremely helpful, Ella! Thank you!

Good stuff here. Even though we had the split screen stuff before on good lock but they had taken it away. Also I've always had PIP for YouTube without having YouTube premium. Which also was another feature u could use in Good Lock. Sometimes I wish they would just bake these features into your standard OS rather than having you download good lock and all of this individual apps or add ons

05:45 I can't remember a time when multiple timers could not be set on stock android (also available in android 13). One of my biggest issue with IOS. It seem so simple yet the iPhone is still missing this feature. 😡

Date and time watermark is super underated feature that I hope apple add it in the future, like when you share a photo others can know when you took it, or when you move it the date can change sometime so having the date printed on the photo helps so much

One of my reasons to not have an iPhone is that I don't like being locked into an ecosystem like Apple's. Ironically, with Samsung, I'm in a pretty similar position. Leaving One UI would be a pretty tough deal...

4:43 It seems the Smart Suggestions widget didn't make it only the A52/A53 range as yet unfortunately, all the other features are available in this update though, thank you for your easy explanation. Loving the widget stacking and new lock screen options.
