Okay, the thing I love the most about this song, is how you can see it as both romantic and Ominous.
There is a beauty and romance to it. A Prince is in love with you and is giving a life of luxury. You being treated like a freaking princess, and the Diavolo gives so much soft dom energy, is impossible to not be enchanted by it.
But it also has this dark energy behind it. A sensation you are being used, that your freedom is in danger. In return of luxury he wants your heart, and I admit this part scared me a little!
Is like he is pulling a spell on you. You are enamored, and you are seduced, and are those trully your feelings.. or are you just being used?

I wanna add my two cents about this song, so here it goes (some spoilers, so be warned):
I don't think Diavolo is acting possessive (or creepy, or yandere-ish) but rather he's trying to appeal to us (the Mc) on a different way than the rest of the cast is, maybe being a bit desperate.
If you notice, in brother's song they sing mostly about their feelings about MC, they're appealing to them on a emotional way, since they're the ones we spent the most time with, so they're closer to us on a emotional sense, they've opened their hearts to us, and told us their problems. Basically what we have with the brothers is an emotional bond, along with our pact (which is also a metaphor for the emotional connection we make)

Now, let's compare this to Diavolo. Diavolo (to put it mindly) was a secondary character in Mc's life, he was part of it, yes, but he wasn't as close as the brothers (or even as those from the Purgatory Hall). So when he finds himself falling in love with the Mc, he tries to appeal to them differently from how the brother offering themluxury dinners, waltz on a starry night, telling them "I'd do anything, if I can". Diavolo is definitely N.1, while the brothers count as part of the high demon society, Diavolo is definitely on a different level, BUT, he cannot appeal to us on the same emotional level as the brothers do, so when he's finds himself in love, he tries to catch Mc with all this other things.

Diavolo is definitely as much in love with the Mc as the brothers, but he knows he isn't the only person in their heart, so he goes the roundabout way: basically courting the Mc as old prince from the human world would "Look I have all this power and all this things I can give you! I'm also honest, and I'm definitely the best choice for a partner!! I'm n.1 after all!"

But he isn't sure if that going to swoon the Mc, so he's desperate asking you to "Look at me..." "Don't look away..." "Say no more, and come here" "Don't let go"

Diavolo in this song expresses many things: He loves you, but he knows he is in a disadvantage when it comes to love, so he's trying his best to charm Mc in other ways, but he knows he isn't the No.1 in your heart.

And onto the playlist it goes. But I also find the lyrics really interesting. Most of the other songs are about, like, the inner feelings that the guys wouldn't talk about normally. Their insecurities, or them realizing their feelings. Even Lucifer admits that he has faults and is afraid of losing you in Arcadia. But No. 1 really is just Diavolo showing only the best parts of himself. I don't know, it really makes it feel like there's more he's not saying. Heck, he doesn't even say why he likes MC like everyone else did.

I enjoy this song but also think the lyrics display not only the power/wealth that he possesses to attempt to swoon the MC, but it actually sounds like he's desperate for attention or love. For example "I won't let you feel bored" (I won't let you down), "Please don't look away" (I crave your attention), "As long as I can, I will do anything for you" (ask me for anything and I will give it to you). It's very "Please don't leave me, I'll do anything and everything you want!" kinda vibes. And he believes that as long as MC is showered with fancy things. status and his love, hopefully, they won't want to leave Diavolo for someone else. It's a bit sad that he's gone for so long without someone to love </3

(Possibly spoilers, also bias because I freaking love Diavolo)

This song is just so romantic, but also heart breaking. As we get to know more and more about Diavolo we get to see him almost resent his position. We know he desperately loves MC and is very distraught that he can't be selfish about it and has to put his duties first. It's also interesting because he all but pleads in the song for MC to look at him, as if if they stop looking at him for a second, they'll forget that he's an actual person- a fear that's canonically implied quite often.

It's fascinating because he also very clearly states, on several occasions, that he battles his own demons (pun fully intended). Sure, the other demon brothers have their own negative personality traits, but these are their charms ("I'll give up my vice for YOU" or "It's not OBSESSIVE it's PASSIONATE"). But Diavolo's negative traits aren't charming, they're genuine weaknesses in his character. He freely admits to being jealous, possessive, manipulative, and even spoiled at times- even expressing a fear that people wouldn't tolerate him at all if he wasn't so powerful.

In conclusion, it's interesting to see him flaunt his position, because it hints at his fear that it's the one thing he can offer, but he's also keenly aware that it can, has, and will be a reason why he can't be the fairytale prince (once again, pun fully intended) that he wants to be for MC.
