Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
This is the video of the thirteenth chapter (Chapter 13) of Class 10 Science – Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
This is a demo of our video lecture. You can watch this complete video by downloading the FREE TUTOR MATE app on
The topics that are covered in this video are listed here: We shall begin the chapter by understanding the Magnetic field and field lines. Then we move to the topic of Magnetic field due to a current carrying conductor wherein we shall see the Magnetic field due to a current through a straight conductor. While studying that we shall be introduced to an important rule called the Right hand thumb rule. Another case of magnetic field is the Magnetic field due to a current through a circular loop. After that, the next sub topic shall be of Magnetic field due to a current in a solenoid. Now when the field is applied a force acts on the conductor and that property is established in the topic of Force on a current carrying conductor in a magnetic field. After that we shall see an application based topic of the Electric motor. Then we shall cater to a phenomenon of the Electromagnetic induction. And then, an application of electromagnetic induction shall be seen in the form of Electric Generator. Finally we end the video by learning about the Domestic Electric Circuits.
Apart from these topics you could also study about some related concepts like: Electricity and Magnetism, Magnetic field lines, Compass needle, Michael Faraday, Electrodynamics, Magnetic Resonance Imaging – MRI, Motor, Temporary and Permanent magnets, Power of a motor, Galvanometer, Induced current, Generator, Electric fuse, Magnetic force, Earth’s magnetic field, Permittivity and Permeability, Motion in a Magnetic field, Combined electric and magnetic fields, The toroid, Magnetic dipole, Magnetic torque, Magnetic flux, Induced EMF, EDDY currents, Magnetic braking, Inductance, Inductors and Transformers, etc.
