INSIDE Abandoned Old Country Buffet (WEST CANAL DR) - Kennewick, WA #URBEXING

I stumbled upon at an abandoned Old Country Buffet on West Canal Drive in Kennewick, Washington. Built in 1994 as of Granny’s Buffet before it got changed to a regular Old Country Buffet in 2013. Then in 2021, it has shut down for good and got auctioned off. On the inside, everything was gone except booths remained intact. There were some lights on. Luckily enough, I was able to explore the inside unexpectedly!

NOTE: When I got inside, apologies for sudden movement of the video that may cause dizziness. I was in a hurry and was totally unprepared.

I remember going there with my family multiple times when we were kids. Back when it was granny’s buffet. I was shocked to see the helium tank around 7:24 because it reminded me of when they would give out balloons. The last time we went there was in February 2017 during my parents anniversary.

i went to this exact location at least once a month with my family as a child. this makes me so sad. so many memories within this building. i remember it most as granny's buffet. 💔

As I am a local to a neighboring city and am friends with the former manager of the other location, the reason for these two restaurants was because Granny's Buffet and Old Country Buffet were separate corporations. Then, the corporate conglomerate that owned Old Country Buffet bought out the one that owned Granny's. Then came the name change and eventual complete shutdown of first the mall adjacent Old Country Buffet because of underperformance, and then I think the location in this video was killed off by the COVID-19 lockdowns.

I've been to both old country buffet locations in kennewick and I enjoyed the food growing up. It's a bit unfortunate that those places have been shut down and left there abandoned

Hey Andy WOW!.Another abandoned Old Country Buffet!.There are a lot of them were you are.This building looks different from most of the other locations as well.I remember a granny’s buffet years ago and forgot about it.Still fixtures inside there too.Probably stuff that wasn’t sold.Wonder why they had two locations so close to each other.That’s a huge building and hopefully it will get repurposed soon.I am very shocked and happy at the same time that door was unlocked and you got in.So cool tobe on the inside documenting everything.I love indoor walkarounds, so happy and excited you got in.What a surprise!.Thank you for the tour Andy, and have an amazing week.Love your videos!.✌️😎

Too bad these Old Country Buffets or Hometown Buffets are not making a comeback, with the current cost of food at the grocery stores, it makes sense to me if they would start to reopen them.
