I Tested Callaway's NEW Ball Against the Pro V1x and the Results Were SHOCKING!

Can the new Chrome Tour X from Callaway beat the Pro V1 in ball speed and wedge spin? I flew to ECPC in Carlsbad to test these balls and was shocked at the results!

I’ve extensively tested both balls. My ball speed is 165 w Tour X and 162 w ProV1 x. The chrome tour x spins about 300 RPM more than ProV1x so the net gain was negligible. However the additional spin helps keep the ball in the air longer especially in any kind of wind.

TItleist had a 172.8 ball and 121.8 swing speed. That is a 1.42 smash factor. Not trying to be a jerk, but those are massive mishits. This video doesn't show anything.

How do you get "on average" after hitting once with the Chrome Tour X? Anyway, I tried the Chrome Tour balls recently and I am really impressed.

Why no spin and distance numbers with the driver comparison? Just because you have faster ball speed, doesn’t always equal more distance. That’s why I wish you would have posted spin and distance as well as club head and ball speed.

so i question the validity of this test. A. what are the shot shapes for these 6 shots. it seems like your swinging out of your shoes with the driver. B. on the wedges you could have shown the angle of attack to prove that the swings were as close a possible. These tests seem bias.

Does this ball only work for super high swing speeds? Because I can hit 110 some days but 120 club head speed isn’t in the cards for me

Don't you gain about 2-3 mph of ball speed for every mph of clubhead speed. If that's right then the drivers were pretty close. Curious to know the impact locations?
