Dr. Afrouz Demeri is a licensed board-certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor specializing in integrative, Functional Medicine for women. Dr. Afrouz finds the root cause for hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, stress, weight or digestive issues, fatigue, depression, and anxiety.

Boy do I agree with that... Sleep is sometimes so hard to achieve sometimes. My mind is always going but I feel so FANTASTIC when I'm able to get the right amount of sleep.

I've had these issues, here's my "remedy"...
1) try "mugwort" herb...great for sleep, dreams
2) add magnesium to your diet, cashews are a tasty way to do it
3) don't eat/drink late/esp wine and acid like pizza
4) have a cool room, white noise/fan
5) do something during the day to "be tired"
6) lose weight
7) have a sleep routine, don't watch TV late, take herbs like Valerian
6) Pray/meditate, calm yourself when in bed
7) If you wake up in the night, don't get up unless it's a bathroom call, it's just as restful to lie awake in bed than deep sleep

Been working hard to figure out how to sleep better. Following many of the suggestions from these conversations. Within 2 weeks, I feel so different! My energy level is up, my brain seems to be functioning faster and more efficiently! I just feel better 😍😊☀️👍 --so grateful!!!

I worked 7p to 7a then I took care of my 90 year old mother on top of that…there were days I would come home to change my scrubs and go back to work….there were days I couldn’t remember when I slept in my bed last. I crashed mentally after 3 years. You can’t make up sleep. I recently went to a sleep Dr. This doctor had his own check boxes, I never felt he really helped me. The big thing was he demanded silence, just really got that my ears ring, and I need a white noise to help the ringing. He just couldn’t get passed the machine.
