How about something from one of Bowie's good friends?

Bowie could sing and write and play music, everything he touched turned to gold. He's still missed, almost a decade later. 💔😇

Ever notice how when someone covers Bowie, they sing like him.

Bowie could have recorded any of these. They all sound so him!

Diamond Dogs album and Low. These are two from my top 10 bowie albums. I just can't narrow it down to one song, it's hard to pick just one album by Bowie. The man had God given talent and was a trendsetter. He left us with such a diverse and widely individualisíc catalog of music; not to mention individual memories with friends or concerts, memories with friends, happiness, sorrow, love and grief. I saw Bowie, live in 1976 and many times after up until 2004. I had tickets to go see David Bowie for the Glass Spider tour but was in a very bad car accident which left me paralyzed when I was 23. The one good thing was that Bowie always so great to his loyal fans, that he sent me flowers. Thanks to my brother who was friends with the DJ on WMMR and they were having a call in with Bowie so my brother tried to get him to visit me in the hospital; which I probably would have killed my brother for. I had gone through the windshield and I didn't look my greatest. I had my head shaved with a 200 and some staples in my scalp. But he was such a gentleman. I could not believe he sent me flowers. I actually thought it was a family member doing it but when I saw the handwriting I knew it was he (David). Now I am going to be 60 in a few months and my heartbreaks due to the death of a few close friends and at times when I hear one of his songs still, because in my heart he was a friend. Rest among the dearly departed, Mr. Bowie, Mark, and Wayne.

How is it possible to have a favourite Bowie song? My list is at least a hundred long.

I really like all of your videos that I've watched today. Just found you today as a matter of fact! I would enjoy seeing pictures of the actual people performing the songs rather than just seeing the artist that wrote the songs. We all know it Bowie looks like and Lennon and McCartney. But we at least in the United States are not familiar with some of the bands mentioned here.

Leave it to Bowie to give away one of the greatest rock anthems ever just to keep Mott the Hoople together. So cool...miss him so much. No one around to surprise us anymore.

The Glasgow band is the Beatstalkers...not Bean. They also covered another Bowie track, When I'm Five on their final single

Fun fact: David Bowie changed his last name from David Jones to David Bowie to prevent people confusing David Bowie with Davy Jones from the Monkees

I did know about most of these. That clip of Feathers performing Ching-a-ling reveals that part of the song at least morphed into Saviour Machine from Bowie's third album The Man Who Sold the World.

Bowie with a Beatle haircut in 1960s, looking unusually cute. Not our usual impression of him.

Ching A Ling was reworked and ended up on the album "The Man Who Sold The World" as the track "Saviour Machine". Bowie recycled numerous old tracks.

Great content but it could do with a couple of extra words in the title.
Top 10 songs you (mostly) didn't know, (which) were written by David Bowie.
There were at least 5 here that I've never even heard of and I've been a Bowie fan for over 50 years.
Great watch, nonetheless.
