Inner Painting

Inner painting, also known as inner drawing or inside-painting, is a unique Chinese art form featuring glass bottles which have pictures and often calligraphy painted on the inner surface of the glass. The bottles are produced by manipulating a specialized paint brush through the neck of the bottle.

To paint the inside of the bottle, the artist must paint backwards. Concentration is crucial to ensure the strokes are precise. The best craftsmen produce only a few bottles a year. #Chineseart #art #painting #Chinesetradition
