Wiring HID Headlights To A Motorcycle (both lights on, high & low beam)

How to wire HID projectors to your motorcycle, using this method has both lights running on low beam and the high is activated on the handle bar switch. Works for CBR1000RR & CBR600RR plus many other bikes.

I sourced my HID kit from Ebay seller "Heavends"
Kit used was "2.5" Motorcycle Bi-Xenon HID Angel DEVIL Halo Eye Projector Len Lamp Ballast"

LED strip was from Ebay seller "my-elink"
"2x 48CM BRIGHT WHITE FLEXIBLE LED AUDI A8 STYLE CAR STRIP DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT" Can be cut to correct length.

So are the red demon eyes staying on the running light circut, then you toggle switch the white lights on and they overpower the red light? Then the high beam switch turn on the high beam? Im trying to work out a similar situation on my bike and I am confused. 😅

Did your projectors have the cut off solenoid, or the wires that flip open the been cut off? In the projector?
I'm looking to convert mine, H7 to H4 when I do mine, but just seen there is wiring to open the lens on main, which kinda makes sense why the standard fitting is simple H1, so just wondering if there is a need to H4 the bike? Cheers (", )

yeah... this is wayyy above my comprehension level... I guess trial and error until my ordered ccfl lights work well on my bike.

I have a question for you about these lights.

As they have no legal beam pattern in the UK how will this pass an MOT? i ordered some similar to this and they simply had a circular spotlight pattern and would fail an MOT instantly so i have to send them back, unless these specific ones have something built into them to cause a pattern? or im totally wrong and they wouldnt fail an MOT?

Hi iv followed pretty much exactly what you've done only iv wired direct from the headlight loom. On my CBR the left orginal light only has 2 wires (positive and negative I assume) and on the right 2 wires again not the 3 wires as in your description. So I'm wiring the low beams on the projectors to the positive on the original low beam but only my left light up or if I disconnect the left and connect the right first, then they both work. any ideas? I'm thinking wit only 1 positive feed to both projectors there may not be enough power going through the original power feed?

Man I know this is old but Im curious as to what kind of switch to use when wiring to just the hid bulb to go on off. How many amps should the switch be rated

So referring to the aftermarket switch. If it is switched to off and the bike is on and you turn the high beams on will they still run? Since you only interrupted the low beam wiring to my understanding? Great video btw!

I have a gilera dna 180 which does the same thing. Low is one side high is the other side. I want to do the same as you
Low has both and high both but i was informed by a elecrician that it may burn out you stator because of the draw on power. I have H4 led dual low/high ready to go in.but dont want to create a electrical issue or stator damage. Can it still be done and how would you do it
