NBC's potential decision to give the 10 pm hour back to network affiliates is a very bad idea. NBC needs to retain the 10 pm timeslot for network programs. If the network gives back the 10 pm timeslot to its affiliates, then other networks will start to do it, and this will hurt network ratings and advertising revenue.

The smart thing to do would be to try to maintain the stake in Hulu and to expand that joint venture, and its capitalization structure.
