Here is an idea for a reward : once you reached the second star (filling a square twice), you can use that second star as a bonus that offers you a 5% reduction on your reading 80% of your 2023 purchases (which will lower it to 75%). That way you keep the motivation for reading books that fit a sqare you've already filled and as the same time it helps to keep the motivation for the reading 80% of 2023 square by making it seem less non achievable.

DNFs should totally count towards bingo coz you're reading your TBR and 'completing' them as you don't intend to pick them up again.

Memphis is amazing but there was 1 thing I am still salty about. I can't wait to hear your thoughts.

I have been doing the Discworld buddy read with my sister and we are on our final subseries. We are reading Moving Pictures this month too for the Industrial Revolution subseries, and then we have completed the main novels and have the science of discworld and the short stories left to read. I think the number 8 looks a lot like 3, and the two are easily mistaken for each other. You could just decide 80% of your 2023 purchases was a messily written 30%. Solved.

I just finished Memphis, it's very good, definitely a debut though. The house is wonderful and there is also a very good dog (nothing even slightly bad happens to the dog). 💖

My bookish plans are always ambitious and I tend to get distracted easily by all the books. I try to set a goal of reading at least the amount I bring in for the month but it's rare that I do. I also have a tendency to get distracted by Library books, ARCs, book clubs and Kindle Unlimited books. I keep hoping eventually I'll break even... some day.... I have Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow on hold at my Library. I hope you have a great reading month, a fantastic holiday and a fun month in general.
