How to Teach Pre-Reading and Pre-Writing Time: Handwriting

In P1 Term 1 the lesson after the morning break is called Pre-Reading and Pre-Writing Time. Handwriting Skills are taught on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

This video demonstrates how to teach handwriting in P1 Term 1. Lessons use pattern practice and letter formation practice with the goal that each child will be able to write their African name using correct letter formation by the end of the term.
