The 2016 Cavs and that rivalry with the Warriors were different. Just remembering the Christmas Game 2016 gives me chills

That Game 5 where LeBron and Kyrie both had 41 points might be the greatest duo performance I've ever seen in a live NBA Finals game. They were just automatic from the field and Kyrie truly couldn't miss and I'll never forget the pivot shot he made over Klay because of how elite the defense Klay was playing on him. Both guys were in their BAG in that game.

2016 was really the perfect nba season. 73-9 warriors, Kobe, KG, Timmy’s last year. Best Dunk contest. Kobe 60, 2 teams coming back from down 3-1.

Warriors Cavs 2016 literally came down to the last minute. After 82 games, in game 7 of the NBA finals...both teams tied at 1 minute left. Absolutely incredible, pure magic, pure competition, legendary moment. Say what you want about Lebron, but what he did in that NBA finals is the best performance of any basketball player for a single series in the history of the game. He led both teams in ALL statistical categories: points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks.

2016-18 Lebron james might have been the most complete in a basketball player i have ever seen. That was his true peak. Assist, rebounds, scoring, steals, there was literally a statistic they showed where he lead in every category, That statistic is insane, He was just unbelievable.

That Game 5 from Bron and Kyrie still seems impossible to thus day. Kyrie shot 72%. Bron was at 60% And the very next game, Bron drops an even more efficient 41 Points when Draymond came back. Since 2016, the only competitive finals we got was Bucks vs Suns in 2021

2016 was the greatest year that I've witnessed as an NBA fan

It’s frustrating to think KD cost us years of this final matchup being epic. Could have become one of the greatest rivalry periods in basketball.

Such an incredible finals
Very weird
6 blowouts and then game 7 came down to the last couple possessions….what a series

The entire 2016 playoff run from kyrie and LeBron was insane. It was like they were trading 30 point 10+ assist games every other game. One would struggle then the other would go off until that game 5 of the finals where they simultaneously caught fire. Just beautiful

I'm glad he mentioned Kyrie too because too many folks act like it was LeBron coming back from 3-1 by himself. Kyrie was off the charts also.

For 4 years literally. I lived for those finals. Especially 2015-2017. 2016 I will never forget

2016 is arguably the best season for NBA over the last 3 decades. All time record of 73 - 9 by the Warriors. Crazy impossible comeback from 3-1 in the finals by the Cavs, while delivering their first major title of the city in like 50 years. And of course Kobe’s farewell tour.
