The two optical mice tend to get a lot of comparison, so I decided to do a head to head to compare. Includes a pretty thorough review of both the Razer DeathAdder 2013 and the latest Logitech g400.

I'm so glad I took your advice, I've been using my death adder 2013 for 2/3 weeks now and I love it!

Guys, get the mouse the has the best warranty. Logitech gives you a 3 year warranty, and the deathadder is a 2 year warranty. But depending on price and what the mouse is worth to you. If I buy a 60$ mouse and it last me it's warranty length or over, I feel like I got my moneys worth. I think people are just way over thinking every tiny detail about mice. Just get a nice comfortable mouse for a fair price with a nice warranty. People think these mice last forever, they should last you the warranty length with normal to heavy gaming use.

several points of correction:
-the g400 can go up to 3600 dpi
-the sensitivity of the mouse can be changed in increment of 50 from 200 to 3600 when configured in the software, but the default settings are 400-800-1800-3600dpi if you just plug and play.

I own a Logitech g400 and I love it! Its very comfortable and fits my hand perfectly. I'm also pretty clumsy and have dropped my mouse a few times but its still working perfectly.(found it hanging by the wire a few times too thanks to my dogs) Its very durable, good build quality and I got it for MYR 85(half the price of a Razer DeathAdder over here) . You have a point on the raised edge on the g400 but I'm used to it already. I expect this mouse to live quite a few years before I have to replace it.

Hi there, those are teflon mouse feet. I use them for 2 reasons: They protect the original feet in case I want to sell or return the mouse, and 2, they make the glide more smooth on the deathadder since its feet are pretty small (They don't make a difference on some mice). Amazon has them for $13 for a pack of 20.

Yep I mention this in the video. Both are adjustable dpi via software. I mention that other optical mice can be locked to specific dpi via hardware.

I've got the m95 coming in on Monday. It's got the same Avago 9800 sensor in there as the M65, so while I expect it to be awesome, that sensor has its own set of issues sometimes. Hope it's good though because I've been wanting it since it was announced.

I have an older DA that I recently replaced with a g400 and feel exactly the same about these 2 mice. I kept saying "YES!" while watching. I really wish I could get a DA with the subdued aesthetic and build quality of the g400.

I'm so freaking happy you can actually shut off the annoying lights on the 2013 Death Adder. For anyone wondering help like me for those people talking trash about the lights.

I've been with Logitech for almost 12 years. Once I've purchased MX500 back in 2002, that was it. Every mouse I've bought was from this line. 510/G5/518/G400 so my hand never experienced any other shape. Now I've ordered DeathAdder. I just want to check an ergonomic difference, maybe it will work much better for me :)

I don't have the G400, I have a G5 from a while back, and I can confirm I had this issue after a few months. I'm lucky that I was in the position to be able to open and fix it, and it's served me fine for 2 years now, but it did require that intervention.

people say optical sensors doesn't feel that robotic when moving the pointer and i have to agree, i switched from roccat kone 3200 laser dpi to the razer deathadder 2013 and it really feels much more natural

Great review, shaped my opinion on getting my next mouse. Clear and to the point, no shitty intro comedy you normally get with these sorts of videos A++

I don't have that problem. Try setting the DPI as high as it goes, and then make the ingame sensitivity to what you like.

Well, I have the M95. It's very nice, but I need to tweak a bit. The sensor is VERY laggy, and it has extreme angle snapping... However the software lets you adjust these so I'm still tweaking. Full review coming soon.

Just now upgrading from a Razer Diamond Back. I've had it since 2006 and it hasn't failed me yet. Maybe you should take care of your mice.

good overview of the mice, it showed what i wanted to know about the right side of the deathadder. I wanted to know of it was grippable from the side. I had a G7 same body as the g400 and that right edge was impossible for claw grip.
