HMF S550 Hexacopter Build #002

Building the hexacopter first stage of the main frame build wanted to know how to build a S550 hexacopter then watch these video as we slowly building one over the next few month.

Main Frame Cost £69.99
Landing Gear that auto fold away £54.99
Universal Alloy GPS Antenna Folding mount £14.99

All these idea was bought from Ebay number of different buyers, but i know if you shop around more on eBay i sure you could pick them up cheaper.

I have now place order for the following idea for the next stage of this build and these are also from eBay sellers.

6 x Dys Simonk 30A Brusless Speed Controller ESC £40.99

I in the middle now source motor to work with my ESC as i like to find the best deals also the best motor that will work the ESC and have loads of power too.

The Fight Controller i looking at is a DJI NAZA V2 M and GPS but going to compare this with the other DJI product as they seem to be loads of version but just want to get the best one or one in the middle as they range in print from £200 +

I see. Yes ive also bought the v2 combo kit . I learnt yesterday that you can flash a Naza m lite with the V2 thus technically converting the cheaper control unit into the more expensive v2 for half the price almost. You can imagine that DJI are none too happy about this. Can the legs fold up on the S550? I wasn't aware of this.

Cool. Im planning also to get this one. What motor did you used? Dji e300. Does the motor provide enough power.

Which DJI controller is that Jack for £200? Also what's your take on quality of the PCB on the S550 compared to the original DJI frame? Exactly the same ? Ie when soldering do you notice a difference ? Cheers

Hi, I have the exact same setup, but am having very unstable flight. The S550 drifts off, shoots up high when wind hits it. Did you experiance the same? Thanks !

Which is better frame jack? DJI f550 or the Hmf s550.

you realize it is called a hexacopter right?? I though it was just a typo but you have have made the mistake multiple times..
