A rugged and mountainous region, Epirus was the north-west area of ancient Greece. It was inhabited by the Greek tribes of the Chaonians, Molossians, and Thesprotians. It was home to the sanctuary of Dodona, the oldest oracle in ancient Greece, and the second most prestigious after Delphi.

if the Greeks and Romans did not write about the Illyrians today we would not know anything, in fact after the Roman-Illyrian wars no one is mentioned anymore. as for the Albanians, the first reference is to Arianos as a Persian satrapy near the Caspian sea and the second many years later by Anna Komneni as a people that no one knows where they came from and has overwhelmed the Greek mountains and plundered the villages. This is history, what you say is imaginary.
