GROCERY HAUL ~ Is Lidl Cheaper than Aldi?

Welcome to my weekly grocery haul for our family of five. That includes myself, my husband & our three sons aged 14, 17 & 19! This week I had a look at what's new in Lidl and compared the prices to Aldi.

I’ve started using Lidl because of their themed weeks. The Emily in Paris French week pulled me in that’s been fave so far, Hungarian week was Spicy lol 😂 a bit too spicy for me and Spanish week wasn’t as much Spanish stuff in as I expected in my store. Love Lidl but their cola is no Coca Cola Zero and their cooked meats I just don’t like that’s the only things I’ve noticed that I don’t like in there but their fruit and veg is amazing best around. My closest Aldi is like a hour away so I never go there… only started going Lidl as noticed themed weeks and Tesco delivery went downhill foodwise

I went into Sainsburys during the week, thats my favourite shop, they still didn't have those chicken fillets you told us about but I did get the Polish cottage cheese and its lovely. Thank you for letting us know, I normally have to go to Morrisons to get Longley Farm cottage cheese but Morrisons isn't that handy for me. I generally shop in Lidl, then go to Sainsburys for the things Lidl doesn't sell lol. Thank you for sharing xxx

Oh I love grocery hauls from other countries! I just moved to Japan and love showing what I get at the supermarket too. Finding new stuff is so cool! 😊
I think grocery shopping in different countries gives great insight into what the country’s culture is like!

Good shop Victoria I think boys when they get big go off things my son who's an adult has spells of liking things like the other week it was noodles and he used to put the thin steak with it or cooked chicken and some sweetcorn now he's back on tuna toasties so half the time he sees to his own tea he doesn't like cottage pie but he loves stew love fran ❤xxxx ❤❤❤❤

Yes I noticed Lidl was quieter but I'm a aldi shopper 😅 only go in Lidl now and again ❤❤

Good shopping haul, never tried those pan cakes toasted. Usually have with a thin spread of butter on but next time will try toasted. xx

I always go to Lidl for a quick shop closer by. I've just made leek and potato soup and it's absolutely delicious 😋
