Why you gotta be yoken on Marine Dr? Beautiful car, nice video. Back in the late 90s I was the only one with a clean 85 SS Monte in the NEP. People were sleepin on um. Now I see um around. Back before twomps it was all Ds and Vogues. Mustard and Mayonnaise. The only car I've ever owned that I regret selling.

i like how the rims are big but not over done. Monte carlos are cars that look good with big rims but only up to a  point of you ask me, but i can under stand why people like them

Beautiful 86 SS!! I love the car and own one myself. (Same color, t-tops). You clearly have a ton of cash in this build. Multi piston calipers up front, disc brakes in the rear, slotted rotors, aftermarket control arms and suspension. Even the engine detail is incredible all the way down to the brake booster and A/C dryer.. I know some people are giving you criticism on the big wheels but it really comes down to three things. 1. These cars had way too small rims at 14" from the factory. As such, unless you get larger rims, its hard to have a true good range of performance tires in a 14" rim and to be honest, it looks out of place to be that small and should have been at least a 17" from the factory. 2. In order to get the lager style brakes on the car, you must have a larger rim to accommodate. I had to go to a 17" rim to get C5 corvette brakes to fit. Does it have to be a 24" or 26"? Of course not but that gets to my last point. 3. When going with a larger rim than necessary for performance, its comes down to what you want to do with the car. Do you want the car to be a show car with some moderate straight-line performance capability? Or do you want the car to eat the competition on a road-course? Its clear that you chose to go the moderate straight-line performance/show car route. Which is cool, don't get me wrong, its just that when you raise the center of gravity with a car and install wheels that will rub at full clock, its clear your not looking to win any road-course competitions. Nor are you looking to get serious in drag racing competitions. Again, I really love the car, and to each his own. just my honest observation. Thanks for sharing!

The ignorant comments about someone else's things could be kept.. the car is nice from top to bottom it was their money and time put into. "welfare rims" maybe you need to do some research about welfare before you say it to someone.
