Someone has to shoulder the blame and he knows it.

so he didn't activate the sirens so people wouldn't head to the bright orange and yellow flames?? Is he stupid or he thinks the people of Maui are?

Governor Green needs to resign as well.

I agree with him. That is what would have happened - they would have heard the siren, and gone inside... and been burned in a structure, rather than fleeing. There was no where to run, except to go out to sea.

They should all be held responsible and let the people have the chance to get away 😢

Government officials don’t face any serious consequences they just quit or retire. Look at all the lives lost and he stands here he didn’t do anything because someone might see the fire and do something wrong like get out. Time to start putting people in jail.

Most people have no clue how it is in hawaii. Sirens ring you run straight to the mountains because 99% of the people will think its a tsunami. Only other siren that has gone off was a balistic missile siren back in 2015 which people ran to the mountains and into the deepest part of the building.

I do feel for him, but his job was tuff. But I really feel for the people too. What about what I hear about the children??

Fires start in mountain areas, so there should have been a siren .

Wasn't this the chief during the Vegas shooting? If so, we need to watch where he goes and what crisis pops up
