Yes you can control plug-ins in Logic or other DAWs with the MPK 249.  I'm controlling Massive right now.  You have to go to the Logic X menu and select Control surfaces-Learn assignment and assign the parameter you want to control to the slider, knob etc you want to control it.  There are two modes Easy and Expert.  I recommend sticking with Easy mode for now.  It's pretty straight forward.  Alternately you can type ⌘L and that will bring up the Learn Assignment mode right away, ready to go.  This is for Logic of course.  Hope this helps.

Hi...I just purchased the MPK261.  How did in Logic you get it to recognize your MPK?  Like when you went into preferences midi sync - destination 1, your drop down showed your keyboard.  With mine it just shows "IAC Driver" or "USB Midi Device Port 1, 2, 3 etc" or "All".  Nothing anywhere about my MPK.

Arion316 you probably just have to select the onboard preset for logic on the MPK and make sure the keyboard is on and USB is plugged in otherwise it will not recognize it.
