I remember the first time I heard the name 'Hurdy Gurdy' was when the song Hurdy Gurdy by Donovan was released in the 60's. Ironically, there wasn't a hurdy gurdy playing in the song at all and I was none the wiser to what the hell a hurdy gurdy even was!
And now over 50 years later, along comes the beautiful and amazingly talented Patty Gurdy and the mystery of what a hurdy gurdy is, what it does and how it sounds is finally solved.
