This run really makes me appreciate the massive difference between the earliest runs and now. The ones where it used to be just, 'Play the game really well.' Now, so much more is required. Not only better-than-perfect play, but deep intimate knowledge of how everything in the game actually works behind the scenes. It's like the difference between looking at a car and knowing it goes fast, versus knowing what every part in it does, so you understand exactly WHY it goes fast and how to push every single part to its limit. The EFFORT modern runners put in! WOW!
