I was never a sonic fanatic, but sonic generations was one of the three big games of my childhood. My aunt had it when i was in kindergarten and it was fun, but when i realized there was more than just the green hill zone, it was such a blast advancing through the game

First appearance of Sonic in Rad Mobile (1990) as car toy, early he named Mr. Needlemouse. Sonic's debut game is Sonic the hedgehog (1991).

watching the evolution of sonic made me realise what their down fall was... i might me wrong but it appears when being compared to mario which was his rival in the video game industry... the amount of games that sonic produced vs the amount mario produced is i believe a huge difference. I think due to SEGA making alot of sonic games, they were unable to overall improve the coding and graphics. While with nintendo, they were going at their own pace improving marios game mechanics and quality that by 1997-2003 mario showed a huge improvement compared to sonic. basically what im saying is the amount of games they made and not focusing enough on the quality was their downfall... it has been evident that when producing sonic media, designers and producers hadn't been given enough work time.
