Ur-911, 964 and 993 are the best... Most characteristic air-cooled 6-cylinder-boxer sound... All the others sound too... i would call it, too soft...

996 was a transition so It can't be perfect right away, they didn't have the kind of money VW had.

It was all good untill the 996 ruined it all, ... 964 RS by far is the best sounding machine followed by the 993, ...

The air cooled cars sound sensational. As usual the water cooled cars sound pathetic

Porsche cars sound like cars for 30% price of this. Nothing special.
