Thank you for watching the game of our Heroes of Might and Magic III (HoMM3)! All our videos showcase intense 1v1, brother versus brother, battles on random XL maps, played at 160% difficulty. We’ve developed a unique set of house rules after hundreds of games to ensure a balanced and enjoyable experience:

1️⃣ No Dimension Door spell – This powerful spell makes map exploration too easy and diminishes strategic planning. By excluding it, we maintain the challenge and fairness of navigating the map.

2️⃣ No Berserk spell – With expert Fire Magic and the Cape of Silence artifact, Berserk becomes game-breaking. It allows one hero to dominate almost any army with minimal effort. After many matches using this combination, we agreed it takes away from the game’s strategic depth.

3️⃣ No Conflux or Factory towns – Both factions, while unique, are imbalanced against the classic towns. However, if both players are randomized to the same faction, we’ll proceed with the game for a fair match.

4️⃣ No Dragon Utopia battles – While tempting for its artifacts and resources, we’ve found it disrupts gameplay balance. The rewards are too significant, often deciding the game's outcome unfairly.

5️⃣ No Diplomacy skill – Recruiting neutral creatures with Diplomacy is highly unfair and disrupts game balance, allowing for an overwhelming advantage. It diminishes the core challenge of building and strategizing with your own forces.

6️⃣ No second same-race town development – If a player captures a town of the same faction as their starting town, they may only recruit its troops once and are forbidden from upgrading units or constructing new creature dwellings. Special buildings and gold income can still be utilized. This rule ensures a fair distribution of resources and troops across both players.

We hope you enjoy our gameplay! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more exciting HoMM3 battles, including full matches and epic final battles!

This format of early game walkthroughs is better than some of your previous versions where you rush while playing with your brother, this is more clear and easy to follow.

Yo Alex, this has been a seriously good video. You showed me what to do when Plan A doesn’t work out which is something a lot of experienced players don’t really talk about. On top of a solid Castle guide 👍

If it's PvP, you'll be dead dead playing like this :-)) Playing against AI you'll generally be ok, depending on the map of course. A lot depends on how rich the map is and what sources of army are available.

In most general sense Castle game is clearing as much as possible on marksmen week 1, maybe going into crusaders as well, but ultimately it's about angels and angels only. Everything that is not increasing main hero's power should be dedicated to getting angels as soon as possible. Champions are not worth it most of the time, only if the map provides for them in the form of dwellings.

Ideally you have pog at the end of week 1 and castle+archangels at the end of week 2.
Day1: upgrade archers
Day2: mage guild
Day3: blacksmith
Day4: barracks
Day5: stables
Day6: monastery
Day7: pog

Which is really hard and may well be impossible on many maps. If map doesn't provide for that kind of tempo, we're playing on marksmen, crusaders and whatever else we can find until it does :-)

Ignore those "pros" in the comments only playing fast templates. Heroes 3 can be enjoyed at many different levels and in many different settings - it's the beauty of this game. Sure, some strategies are more efficient than others, but every way to play is valid. Dont optimize the fun out of the game, exploring what works is part of the magic.

Why do you not split your units to one-stacks?

Very poor gameplay, probably novice level. The only good point is going for the idea for building Cavaliers first week. But then you must foreseen the wood required, otherwise it is not feasible. Many things not mentioned.. not even considered... 1) You have pandora box north of town guarded by armadillos (one of the easiest guards in the game). 2) Dragon tower south-east of town, not bothered. 3) Griffin Conservatory north of town, what a present for your faction... just go and check its size with the scout hero you don't have to fight it right away, but it is your main objective. You have to take it as soon as possible, angels is most required. 4) you have naga bank south of your town, it gives you everything you need: gems, gold and xp for main hero. Same as Conservatory go with your scout heroes, check their size.. you don't have to fight them instantly. Just have to predict what kind of army do you need to conquer this objectives. Sometimes Heroes is a game of chess, you have to think few days ahead and know your future objectives and what is important to propell your game faster. Otherwise you play day for day and the game becomes reactive instead of active.
