The long talked about Game Gear Micro is finally out in Japan so I decided to import one to play all the games it has...and honestly I regret it. Lets dig into the good, the bad, and the TINY of the Game Gear mini in my review!

8:32 YES!!! And this is why it was released only in Japan. There are many other micro gaming machines there, like micro arcade machines with real, playable games (despite the size making them unplayable actually). It IS a niche market, but they dig this stuff.

Japanese totally dig tiny figures at the same time, friend in Japan said that he loves the idea and it's basically just part of their culture of see how small they can make these things. Like when I was in Japan I went to the Edo Museum in Tokyo and it had a exhibition of tiny furniture we're talking wardrobes about 1/4 the size of a finger nail but was still extremely detailed. I ordered my micro a few days because the price is fairly cheap now around the 3000-4000yen mark.

it's meant as a neat novelty collectable for hard core Sega fans in Japan. It's not meant to be a serious "mini console". My only issue is that they should of been $20 each, not $50~$60 each...

Just got mine and despite poor framerates I find the screen size is easily playable and the small size is a lot of fun

I don't think these were meant to be played for long periods of time. I think they were purposesly meant to be collectors items. We already knew how tiny these were so I'm definitely not surprised.
