Proportional relationships are relationships between two variables where their ratios are equivalent. Another way to think about them is that, in a proportional relationship, one variable is always a constant value times the other. That constant is know as the "constant of proportionality".

This is a better explaining than the previous one.

I don't think anyones gonna listen but I'm gonna try my best to explain.

Propotional relational ships are 2 numbers like:

2 : 6

That are equivalent to eachother, in this case we did 2x3 to make 6. So our multiplication is gonna be x3.

Lets give you a line of them.

2 : 6
4 : 12
6 : 18

Now, are these propotional? Yes, cause our mulitplication is x3.
If I'm incorrect on this, correct me please cause i have a quiz coming up for this lesson.
