Manly Beach To Shelly Beach Return Rainy Day Walk - Thursday 25th November 2021

dulcineasdiarycontinued - What's just as bad as 2 years in and out of prolonged periods of lockdowns in NSW? Forecasted 6 months of continuous rain where it rains on and off everyday at anytime of the day or night ( I hope not). It's been wet for part of October and nearly all of November now with more wet weather to come. Today was no different. The morning was overcast grey and still a little wet from the rain overnight but it stopped raining and there was no wind therefore I took the opportunity to get out and about while I could. I have written about this walk in a previous blog however I don't believe I have actually uploaded a video of this scenic walk which is one of many from and around the 2 sides of Manly. I love this walk even on a yukky day everyone is out and about along it. Take your dog on a lead, ride your bike ( restricted days and hours ), take your your friends ( now that we are allowed to) or just yourself and just take in the scenery. Stop by The Bower and browse the cute little shop full of locally made items or grab a coffee or snack ( when the cafes are open which were not today however the little shop was) or go for a dip in the small but cute updated Fairy Bower Sea ( Ocean) Pool complete with a new toilet and change room block and basic outdoor rinse off shower ( which is currently closed - last time I did this walk it was also closed) when it reopens hopefully over Summer before ending or continuing your walk at Shelly Beach where you can go for a swim, eat at The Boat House or cafe there or just grab a snack from the kiosk or spot the protected brush ( people call them bush) turkey(s) hanging out around the beach before walking back to Manly Beach
