The best motorcycle in soviet union Izh Planeta Sport. In the Soviet Union, there were many different motorcycles, which were the main transport for the population. A special niche among them was occupied by heavy motorcycles with sidecars, which could also be used to transport various goods. Of course, the lion's share of all motorcycles was used in the villages, where even teenagers were riding them, without having a driver's license. They knew all the motorcycles produced in those years by heart and everyone could answer the question of which motorcycle was going by.
Among all the abundance of motor vehicles, only one sports bike stood out, which was known under different names, but the official one was IZH Planeta Sport. It went down in history as the first Soviet serial motorcycle, it was launched in 1973 at the Izhevsk plant.

Canada calling
I have a 1975 "IZH P!ANETA" 350 with 2633 original miles! I have owned it since new!
Planning to put it on the road next summer.
Engine hasn't been started in 40 years so will require full teardown.

Nice machine. I saw an IZH in the St' Louis motorcycle museum. But wait: a 32 hp 350 Russian bike? Nah. Never happen.
