We are so on the same page. If it wasn't true then to them... nothing can be believed, even Christ's atonment.

If Revelation's soon statements are true to us. They were a lie for them, then. It truly is that simple.

Never had a preacher tell me that. It's always more like 2000 years is like a blink of an eye to God.

Don’t you understand? God needed a way to warn us about the end times. The only way He could think of was to tell people 2000 years ago, so that we could read what they were told and know that He was really speaking to us.

I do not know, its all a little complicated. On the one hand, if we talk about the second coming, Jesus IS already back, because he is the allmighty, omniscient and omnipresent being. So Jesus, right now is here, he is in me and in you and everywhere around us.
On the other hand he is not here (yet) embodied, so literally in his human body in the form of a human being.
Maybe we have to differenciate between these two second comings?

Isn't it a historical fact that virtually every generation of Christians for nearly 2, 000 years now have said that the rapture was about to occur in their lifetimes and that the return of Jesus was eminent? Did Paul believe that Jesus was about to return in his lifetime?

the video promotes a Preterist interpretation of biblical prophecy, which is a valid viewpoint within Christian theology, but it does so in a misleading and overly simplistic way. it misrepresents mainstream Christian eschatology, creates false dichotomies, uses inflammatory rhetoric, and oversimplifies complex theological issues. while considering the original context of biblical texts is important, the video's narrow focus on "audience relevance" and its accusations of God being a "liar" are flawed and do not accurately represent the range of interpretations within Christian thought.

So a god that created the cosmos in 7 days but couldn't write a set of "follow god" instructions that weren't open to different interpretations by different people resulting in approx 40, 000 denominations of that faith....oh please
