It is a true story, as when the king "Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj" (his father) was demised, the Aurangzeb (akshay khanna in movie) thought that the whole land is theirs.


This is when Chhava (Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj) gave the biggest and toughest fight to him.


They tried to convert him by capturing him by deception and cheating.

He was tortured to death and it was so brutal that they tied and made him bleed completely, burned his both eyes and blinded him by putting hot iron swords in his eyes...

But our hero never kneeled and never converted.

Glory to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj!


And yes, the ending scene with the lion is real incident from his life!
