Bought mine in 2017 and its still rocking. I dont play as much as i used to so i am not keen on upgrading anytime soon. Finished guardians of galaxy a few weeks ago on it and am now working my way through evil within. One of my favorite consoles of all time thanks to its simplistic design and amazing controller.

The design and size is absolutely perfect. Looks great on display in your entertainment center and is not awkwardly sized.

Graphics are good enough and it’s backwards compatibility with the 360 is amazing.
The best points a 4k Blu-ray player, up scales blu ray and dvds.
A cd player and multi media player.
Small and quiet and looks nice.
I got mine for a £100 as player for the bedroom about 5 years ago, not even worth selling

Depending on the situation - it’s perfect. I have a Series S, but my 9 year olds mom and I gifted him the One S in Christmas of 21. He loves it and it serves him well.

I bought mines in 2022 I still have it its still pretty good but while playing some games fps goes down and stutters happen but its still great

I remember seeing this console in a video game magazine in 2016 and this was all I was looking at along with the PlayStation 4 pro. I wanted this & now I have it. Amazing feeling. One thing though, I’ll hook it up to the tv in my guest room since the graphics will look better on that one, I have a small lcd tv in my room. I’ll definitely try to pick up some games this year

Personally, if you already own a gaming PC or currently don't own a console and just looking to get your feet wet this is the way to go. I bought my Xbox One S for $160 almost a year ago. I have owned every Xbox except the current gen and the One X and they are just made better than the Sony consoles. The only one I ever had to send in for any repair was the Red Ring of Death 360, but other than that they all ran quieter and never had overheating or controller disconnecting problems like my PS3 or PS4.

You can get a One S for less than $200 and buy all of your games digitally, then later trade it in for a Series X or S and enjoy the enhanced version of all of your current games or just the higher fps and resolution. Plus, if you already own a gaming PC you can get game pass ultimate and use it on both. As for exclusives, the only one I cared about was MLB The Show and that game is cross-gen now and most of the other major PS4 exclusives are already on PC like Spider-man, God of War, and Horizon. Most games in the future will be timed-exclusive at best and available on PC within a year or two. Xbox just seems to have the simplest upgrade path for console gaming. Xbox even has play anywhere on some titles which means if you buy the game on Xbox and have the Microsoft app on your PC and that game is supported you can play it there too and your saves will be there. I have Gears of War 4 and 5 as well as Like a Dragon and all work with play anywhere on my PC. It also works on your Xbox One to Xbox 360 games and saves that are supported.

Bought one today for £105, mainly to just replay through the Halo collection, since it's exclusively microsofts. This video helped massively & can't wait to set it up. With it also being white it'll suit itself smartly next to my PS5

I just picked one of these Xbox one S for 30$ with Halo Infinite disk only because it was in the console abd I had no idea it played 4k movies disks that is pretty kool since I collect em I do have a PS5 and Xbox Series S I have alot of console's anyways my point is that it's a pretty nice console abd for 30$ it was a score.
