Space Marine 2 being so intensive is honestly expected considering how big the hordes and custom animated events. God I need to get a massive upgrade to my computer cause I want to play this. The fact that it can played on the steam deck at all? That’s impressive as hell!

The cpu temps are normal. People are freaking out because it's not what they're used to. The usage is also normal, as its spread out evenly. The game might be doing some shader compilation but that wouldn't make sense since it already compiled it at the start and wouldn't be necessary again. I would suspect it's more along the lines of busywork in the background with the npc's including the monsters, which there are a lot of.

If you are at 82 C with a AMD and noctua then uggh that game will cook my 14700kf even with water cooling. I will probably wait and see if a performance patch comes out. I usually don't get games at release anyway. I think with a 4070 Ti Super the game will run well.

Alex you could try going into BIO’s and setting a -20 offset with curve optimizer to bring those temps down a little

Man. You guys are lucky to be a part of the PC master race-class. My computer is old as dirt, so I can only play Tekken 7 at 480 X 640 on my screen without a graphics card. lol Good review of the Warhammer game, Alexx. I played the first one as a demo version over a decade ago on the xbox 360.
