Показать описание
With Yoshinobu Yamamoto's return from the Injured List on Tuesday, Mark DeRosa broke down his start against the Cubs and analyzed what makes his pitch repertoire so effective.
Before this game, Kershaw was giving Yamamoto some pointers. Postgame interview, Yamamoto said "Kershaw gives good advice". 🥰

DeRo is treasure of baseball knowledge, love his analysis.

I hate that this breakdown is on my Cubbies, but the guy is filthy on the mound. He's fun to watch. I am looking forward to a future Skenes vs. Yamomoto NLCS matchup.

Props to derosa, this type of content is amazing imo. Wish more sports analyst do this instead of the stupid hot takes.

I am surprised why this channel only has 250k+ subs

This is great analysis on the mental side of baseball! It's a sport I've never played so this content is great for people to learn about the game

Man that FIP graphic and edge % really show what he does well

I knew he's hella back when he struck out the side in the first

Never watched a more in depth pitching analysis

Yamamoto would’ve pitched game 6 and that’s why if the Yankees had won game 5, I would’ve had 100% confidence the Dodgers would’ve won that game easily and comfortably.

It is nice to study those pitch by pitch because it happened already, but as you mentioned, batters do not know what pitch is next or to be given. Bottom line, a future cy young awardee.

Those Cubs uniforms are super sharp. I like that shade of blue!! A bit different from Dodger blue.

with glasnow now out its looking like jack and yama are our only aces, knack can have the playoff spot and we need gavin to comeback asap, kershaw too is needed back for safety, bobby and walker are definitely out. Dodgers pitching is legit surviving on only hopes and dreams, wont be surprised if ohtani starts throwing as a reliver in game 4.

yamamoto is better than ohtani as a pitcher. he can't throw over 160mph fast ball but his commands SHINES!!

Yama should definitely try to paint a 4 seamer on the corner below, if they think he’s going to throw a split because some times when he faces a batter the second or third time they don’t really chase it. If he tries to throw a 4 seamer or 2 seamer above to deceive his curve ball, the league is done lmao.
rainbowhouse
If you eliminate inside pitches as a righty and only looking away he lands that curve in there for a free strike

im kinda new to baseball and find pitching very fascinating... I'm currently rooting for Yamamoto right now. but what he's talking about at around 3:00 seems too complicated... i get it's about Ian Happ's AB but what about it
francismagnusson
His sequences don’t make sense 😂 he’s right you don’t know what he’s gonna throw lol
