The creative part I love the most about programming is thinking of and implementing beautiful solutions to complex problems. I just enjoy it so much to simplify a really complex problem with well organized, clean and readable code. Most people think programming is a lot of math and just spitting out code, but it is also a lot about composition.

I just started an undergraduate program for software engineering, it's an online course because I work 40+ hours and have a family and farm to take care of, but sometimes it seems a bit overwhelming. I have a degree in electrical and computer engineering but I have worked as a software engineer my entire 34 year career. I LOVE crafting great software! I feel like I never worked a day in my life because I enjoy what I do so much. Programming is both science and art. You either love it or don't. In engineering school most of the kids in my classes hated programming. I feel lucky.
