Hungarian is mostly European and have only a little Magyar blood. Magyar assimilated the natives (pannonians, illyrians and Slavic people) mostly cultural and linguistical. That's mean Hungarians by blood is European, and only a little "Asians".

Hungarian here. This video i find to be not the best at explaining it. I urge the author to be more precise and to the point next time.

Hungarians were (most likely) a turkic nomadic people from *somewhere* around central asia(we don't actually know where exactly, there are no written records) that lived around the ural mountains first, then migrated to the carpathian basin.

Some people overplay the turkish larp honestly, and though there is indeed a lot of *suspected* connections to central asian nomadic or ex-nomadic peoples, we left that place more than a 1000 years ago, so not many things remained. We are not really an "asian" country.

It is not to say that there aren't unique things that implies a connection.

Like our language, because it is indeed not Indo-European(though it does have germanic and slavic influences in it). It broadly belongs to an uralic branch, though there are questions to which exactly (generally theorised to be the Finno-Ugoric family, but there are some doubts and other theories). Because of this nearly every aspect of the language is significantly different to our neighbours.
Like using the eastern naming (Family name comes first, given name(s) second), a fuckton of variations, prefixes and affixes for words which can completely change their meaning, various forms of speech depending on the politeness, being gender neutral etc.
