what kind of opinion video when all you say is "I just want to country to get over with Covid and move on?" you only addressed the criticism from outside mainland china but you never made any response to why were they wrong or what part of their argument were wrong

4:07 what's so 'extreme' about the opinion that Xi Jinping should step down. He was only supposed to preside over the Chinese Government for a maximum of 2 terms

FINALLY. A sane person speaking to the reality of what life is like here in China. I'm an American who's lived in China for seven years and I feel like whenever I watch media about China (whether from Chinese or foreigners), they seem somewhat off, but your videos really do capture plain old reality for the 老百姓 very well. Thank you!

Agree that Covid is an unusual beast to conquer and no one model provided a comprehensive solution. As someone who worked actively and closely in an ICU medical setting, I can agree that it was difficult at times especially when quarantine and lockdowns only allowed some patients to say goodbye to their families using a tablet, before being placed on a ventilator awaiting the inevitable. Yes, so becoming emotional while discussing this topic is understandable but you persevered and that's commendable. Nice video. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for this. This is honesty, and this is severely missing from the hardline pro-official government position channels out there. It is much better to have this type of frank discussion with people who genuinely care about China than to retreat from these sensitive topics and cede the narrative to those that want China to fail. Please keep being honest when your channel explodes in popularity.

Thoughtful video on a very complicated situation. Hopefully the demonstrations have had the desired effect and the government addresses the concerns of their citizens promptly.
A more targeted approach to as you describe in happening in Guangdong seems to be effective in limiting spread- hopefully this approach can be applied throughout the country.
I doubt there would be many in China that would support dropping of all restrictions allowing the virus to spread throughout the country unchecked. This would be disastrous for those at risk (e.g. the elderly) and overwhelm your health system.
Enjoy your videos - Keep up the good work!

Very difficult this situation. It shows that politics is a dangerous art and misunderstandings are inherent in the context. Governing cannot be easy in this situation. What is important to acknowledge is that the Government is trying to deal with Covid as best as it can. Thank you for your observations. We must hope for an end to the Covid situation.

Hello! With the the way that the Chinese government functions, in terms of provinces having to report back to the national government, do you believe this is a stable approach? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

If I’m understanding correctly… the government is the sole authority for making people’s lives better… yet it has an incentive to not notice and take an account of the suffering of people because it would make them look bad? That’s so confusing 😂

Good to get info first hand on the protest. Thanks.
The story from western media gives the impression that protest are unprecedented in China but some vloggers in China says that protest are common. So what is the truth.

You have done your part to explain particularly Chinese culture and people behavior in relation to zero lock down. Well down. Others may have different opinion due to different cultural and society back down. It's OK to express
