Small note: I think you misspoke at ~13 17 regarding the number going lower unless I misunderstood something.

Why is this server slow? Can't possibly be because someone thought it a good idea to install 5 separate named instances of SQL2008R2 (unpatched) on a server with only 8GB ram...

My sql server is slow because it keeps getting hit by all the tomatoes Ive been dodging of late. Plus i think its a little inbred. We love’em though.
