It's actually refreshing to hear that you found it challenging! I used to race these at a local club but I was always bouncing off those relentless barriers. The stock cars are so much fun, I just wish there was more of a stock class. You can throw a fortune at these cars (as you saw) and it just ruins what is meant to be an accessible form of RC racing and becomes a willy-waving competition. Hence, I no longer go to my local club, which is heavily populated with carbon fibre, brushless, lipo rocketships. Sad times.

It looks like a lot of fun. I am always surprised that there are not more clubs running the mini z's. I am not sure if it's the cost or the size. The track is always high grip and it's easy to assemble. That was a very challenging course. I've watched some of these races in other places and the courses are often slightly wider. Thanks for sharing.

They look like so much fun to drive and fast, but so small a pain to work on

I’ve been following these guys for a while on FB, might have to come down and take a look! Also Mark, I ordered a Tamiya wing set after Tuesday, think you were right about the Impreza shell 😊..

Great little cars, you need to get a buggy as well 👍🏻 😁

The good thing about these are, you can have a track setup at home to practice with. They're the same tiles you can get from places like B&Q.

Excellent vid gents! In ref to your Too scared to race RC vid, if it wasn't for mini z and the friendly supportive culture at Micro MK I wouldn't be racing! I'm not afraid to admit I didn't know how to setup ball diff and how to charge Lipo batteries and it was the technical know-how preventing me getting into rc racing... got myself RTR, some AAAs and that's it! A few bits of bling later and im now building my new Lipo car...it all the same though! Still not in A main, but always finishing with a smile! As with viewer comments about too many bling cars, it just personal choice as part of the hobby and as Popalong has shown, plastic fantastic RTR mini z can out run the upgraded brushless and some Lipo cars!!! Bonus point, if you told the other half the spend was a fiver they would likely to believe you as hot wheels are a round £3 and these are just a little bigger lol

You should run the 2wd mini z they start at 50 US dollars and up. I think they are up grade able. You should race them.

You guys should find some AAA batteries that have 3.7 v a piece in them they make those type of batteries you could put in them.

Do you see mini-z drivers out there gaining an interest and getting into 1/10th scale as a next step? I've built a 28th scale kit and the frustration of dealing with tiny parts and components is insane, not to mention the quality difference compared to high end 1/10 kits. Granted, there are many advantages of 28th scale overall, no argument there.
