Sometimes people reporting you for cheating will select all boxes including griefing. Might be an added factor if you did particularly well in a game. If people are in your game now and know who you are they could just report you and get you banned for even longer to troll you.

I've gotten griefing reports in faceit and when a game ends sometimes I get hit with a MM ban without playing any MM..

maybe you teamflashed to many times, havent dropped guns or dont listen to ingame calls, people get really fast frustrated and report with no hesitation

People just spam all the reports when they get mad so you get griefing bans for no reason, it's broken

If you perform good, enemies might report you for griefing because they think you cheat. That also results in a griefing cooldown, you don't even need to grief for it to happen.

same here im getting 14 days everytime Yerserday my ban was 1 day left I didn't even touch the game and now it reseted again

I think this is the stupidest cooldown they’ve ever thought of adding. I’ve gotten 3 cooldowns like this playing casual only and it’s so frustrating. Feel your pain

It didn't have to be any of those matches at all. You can also get that on casual or deathmatch. You would need to get constant reports and many of them in a long period time.

me to i got 15 days 5 times in the row if someone report you grefing or chat report you will got ban + mute

My friend has the same problem, he has about 4 accounts with griefing cooldowns on them all. The guy is faceit level 10 and almost always top frags. It's so rediculous.

It's just that you get reported. You can play faceit and reports from there carry to MM. It's broken lazy system made by valve.

I recently had the same situation on my smurf account. 2 days ago I had my 5 days griefing ban ended, I won 2 games and got banned for another 5 days xd

almost 1 year ago I got overwatch ban because I "griefed" and if you see the replays I didn't, my teamates got infront of my and with an AK I accedentaly killed them(almost in every other game)
