This greatly benefits China and does no harm to the rest of the world. Since everyone will be imposing retaliatory tariffs on US goods it will greatly limit their exports and jobs, while on the other hand the only country tariffing Chinas goods is the US. In the rest of the world they will be doing business as usual. Chinese goods will become less costly in relation to US ones, therefore more sought after by importers and consumers. In short China will loose business in one country while gaining massive amounts of markets in all the rest of the world. The US on the other hand will gain business in one country, it's own, while loosing markets in all other countries.
The bright side is that the worlds greatest polluting nation the US will manufacture less and there fore pollute less. This should be good for us all.
