Max Holloway, Stipe Miocic, Illia Topuria, Shavkat Rakmanov, JDM, etc don’t have camps and gyms surrounded by other high level fighters instead their gyms are built around them. All the coaches, training partners, and activities are all focused on them.

I’m surprised Luke didn’t become a great wrestler there it could have really served him in his career, especially in his older age as he lost a lot of the speed that made him such a good striker.

Rockhold could be the most gifted in the bunch. His problem was his arrogance. Even in his training he behaved as if he was too good to hold up his hands correctly. This lead to his knock out losses.
