I cut about six cord of wood per year. For the last two years I have used the EZZDOO. I free hand without the guide. Great results. Very happy. Tip: When you order the EZZDOO also order three or four boxes of stones the right size for your particular chain. The EZZDOO only comes with three stones, one each, three different sizes. You will need spare stones in your size. Great video.

I love your videos, i just want to say as a chainsaw enthusiast i use the Stihl sharpener and if you put the bar in a bench vise that is mounted at a comfortable work height and position you can get an extremely precise hold and push on the sharpener a shrarpen sharper than new is possible. keep making the great videos thank you we love them.

I help run a tree trimming service and we use the stihl sharpener that knocks down the rakers at the same time. Great sharpener that does it all with correct angle markings on it so you know you're sharpening it right. Great video as always

That sliding Stihl sharpener is spectacular. I spent several days non-stop cutting with an MS360 saw removing a couple of enormous trees and that thing was a life saver. After some practice, it only takes a few minutes to put a new edge on the entire chain. If you do it every time you fill the saw with gas it really keeps things moving. It was $40 when I bought it on Amazon, but it was worth every penny.

When I purchased my Stihl chainsaw a few years ago I also purchased the manual sharpener. I was impressed with how well it worked. I have manually sharpened my chainsaw for decades. I tried the adapter to my dremel tool several years ago, but felt it didn’t make a long lasting edge. I now use the Stihl sharpener on all of my saws. Love it and have recommended it to several people.

I would be interested in a comparison between wire splice methods, especially for automotive use. There are a lot of opinions on the internet about soldering. crimp connectors, solder and heat shrink, special heat-shrink that contains solder (genuine TE and knock-off) etc. My personal favorite is soldering manually and then using the solder sleeves, which nobody else seems to do, but I use soldering and generic heat-shrink as well.

Strength, weather resistance and vibration resistance are the most important tests I guess, but size of the splice and ease of use (especially in tight spaces) are also relevant.

Maybe a little bit outside of your usual themes but I think you are the right person to nail this once and for all.
