"When you do bad things for bad reasons where do you fit the good?" Seems like a pretty good summary of frank

"... Where does the insanity end?"
It ends with Frank.

The thing about Frank is he's an archetypal antihero but no one could ever be trusted to do what he does. No real person could be as precise, detached, and dispassionate about it like he could. They would all go astray no matter how high minded they started out as. Frank even by his own admission doesn't do what he does because of any ideals or sense of duty. During the Ennis run a character asked Frank if he does what he does to make the world safer and he says he does not. He says he kills the people he does only because he hates them and anything done purely out of hate will always yield poisonous fruit. During that same run there was a trio of copycats that all thought they understood Frank and his motivations but he saw them as no different than the other criminals and killed them aswell. I always think of that part and laugh when I see the gun humpers driving around with Punisher skulls on their trucks because I know Frank would hate them too.

The fact is, they all had good points. He shouldn't be doing what he's doing but its good that he is doing it
warheaduptopp
see the problem with anyone saying Frank is a danger to society, is that Frank only goes after people who are a danger to society, it's literally his track record, he's never gone after someone who didn't deserve it, so it's not that anyone can kill anyone in new york, it's that anyone should be able to provide consequences for violent and morally bankrupt individuals who scrape by in the legal system because they get lucky or have the means to get out of the consequences the government promises.

Look: Let’s say someone does something bad, but not terrible. He robs a grocery store, holds up a gas station, or steals money from the bank. Those people are bad, but not Evil. Not downright demented individuals, which is why the appropriate action for them would be to just call the cops or daredevil. However it’s a different case for the rapists. The mass murderers, the serial killers or the pedophiles. Those people we consider so horrible, so unredeemable that any action involving spilling blood being done to them we would gladly accept. At least most of us of course. There is the small group of individuals who would prefer less barbaric means, and think that everyone no matter how evil is worth saving. In the end, what I believe is that you need both hero’s. Daredevil for the everyday crimes. Punisher for the more despicable people in this world.
popculturenerdyt
I think he's a hero. He's not perfect. And his techniques are very brutal. But he's still doing a better job than many cops and heroes. Someone has to do the dirty work if no one else will. We never saw Captain America, Ironman, or Spider-man go to dangerous and corrupt places like Hell's Kitchen. He's not an 'animal' or 'fascist'. He's just serving justice in a different way.

The people who says that the punisher is a menace is the one who never had bad shit happens to them. They live in a dreamy rich place where everything seems clean...

Interesting and purposefully detail that those vilifying Frank are well off, privileged people while those praising him are the least fortunate minorities. Because Frank did protect those less fortunate, those who the cops would otherwise leave to rot, and many of his victims were rich or privileged people who managed to escape justice by lining the right pockets

Sounds to me like some of them took one look at Frank Castle and completely forgot WHO THE REAL ANIMALS WERE!!!

If everyone was the punisher there wouldn't be anyone left

Frank is a monster, feeding on other monsters.

It's wild to me that people in the marvel universe willingly move to new york
bryanfeliciano
I noticed all the women considering him a protector from criminals and murderers and all men considering him an insane lunatic.
arisxatz
Seeing how California and New York and Chicago are right now I think we need a punisher in America.
BigFootTheRealOne
I'll cheer on Frank because he goes after monsters. He doesn't disembowel a car thief, but he won't hesitate to put down a crooked cop or a human trafficker

The third guy just sounds like an activist straight out of college.
