At the beginning of the 20th century a new church was built where the icon of "Panagia Noteniotissa" was placed. In the '60s,' 70s and '90s, maintenance, renovation and expansion works were carried out in both the old and the new place. Above the courtyard of the monastery is the cave where Saint Joachim asceticized. of
In April 1821 the Ottomans looted the monastery. The monastery is manly and celebrates on the 23rd of August
